10 original director's styles

The film industry in general brings essentially similar story or visual experiences through the the Film History. However, certain cases are different and offer an important originality that people like and ask a lot. We want to discover new stories through different styles. That is why, I want to share with you some different style of directors that they used to create some fantastic artworks.

1. Alfred Hitchcock

Two words are describing his style: Suspense and Fear. He made discovering a new style in the Film Industry that no one try to do the same since it would have been impossible. His name is tagged on the History of Cinematography.

2. Wes Anderson

He is creative, he likes art and to bring it into his movies. His specialities are symmetries, colors, fast shot cut, fast dialogues. Everything is in contrast such as the lighting, the movement of the camera, the angles... He tells his story through a lot of details, sounds, characters, colors in his scenes in order to create as much expectation as he can do to the audience.

3. Christopher Nolan

He likes confusing people, creates some creative forms, to film his movies with two parallel worlds. It is a fantastic way to confuse people on the actions or even the narrative in order to keep their attention.

4. Tim Burton

A wonderful style between real and dark imaginary world. Johnny Depp has been his muse for a long time now and also create a fantastic and unreal word.

5. Martin Scorsese

His particularity is long-shot. Martin demonstrates that it was possible to create something original by only making a movie through long-take. It works ! The way he tells his story is usually with incredible talents and a lot of creativity.

6. James Cameron

He knows how to use the best visual effects. He brings out two blockbuster which was Titanic and Avatar, and not the only ones. Unlikely love story, lead female and mix of different props are his signature.

7. Stephen Spielberg

He loves dramatic scenes with a lot of close-up on character where we might observe all the emotions and feelings that their are going through.

To have a Guillermo Del Toro's style we need to see science-fiction mixed with fantastic world and some Human elements in it. That is his secret recipe. He likes to bring a imaginary and real elements in order to create something new and original.

10. The Wachowskis

Their works on visual effects and sound effects that they use, create a specific and fantastic style which offer many blockbuster over the world. Example :" The Matrix ".

Every single of those directors has a particular way to bring the story along the image that we see. Our sound and visual experiences are analyzing multiple elements that allow to be immersed and to love the meaning of the movie.

Also, we may observe that in many cases those directors have their own Oscar-Winning actresses and actors as well as a specific writer.
